Bring attention to bright light or spaces as opposed to dim light or darker spaces to help children understand the difference. For example, on a sunny day you might note how bright the sun is. Later, when it’s darker you might draw a comparison. “Ahh, the sun is finally going down. Now it’s not so bright in here.”
