Brief Description
The last part of a sequence of steps.
How to Talk About This Term with Young Children
For Forces and Motion: Create a goal or end point and encourage children to use force and motion to get an object to that point. Maybe the end is close and they need to use less force. Maybe it’s far and they need use more force. Maybe they need to change the direction of the force.
For Computational Thinking: You might point out the end or the finish in a sequencing activity with children before starting so children understand the goal. “We need to get the snail to the end of the maze. There it is. The end!”
