A ball of air or gas in side a drop of liquid.
How to Talk About This Term with Young Children
For States of Matter: When noticing bubbles in everyday life (soap bubbles, bubbles from boiling, etc.) talk about how a bubble is a gas that’s inside of a liquid!
For Structure and Properties and Daily Routines: Encourage children to notice the structure and properties of the bubbles. What shape are bubbles? Are they always that shape? Do they seem heavy or light? What happens when you touch the bubble? What do children think the bubble is made of?
