How to Talk About This Term with Young Children

Another way to describe a ramp is “An inclined plane.” When talking about ramps, think about how steep or shallow the slope is. Why might a ramp being helpful for getting up or down? What would happen if the ramp was made of a smoother material vs bumpy? Why might we want one or the other depending on the purpose of the ramp.
