STEMIEFest Innovation for Inclusion in Early Education
 

This session will focus on facilitating STEM -based conversations focused on storybooks as you read with preschoolers with autism. Practical strategies and recommendations will be shared.

Ken Wilson-Max, author of the award-winning children's book, Astro Girl talks about his book and how practitioners and families may use the book to talk about developing a positive STEM identity. Astro Girl won the UK science awards Early Years STEAM 2020 award and chosen as one of the Bank Street College of Education’s 2020 Best Children’s Books of the Year in the US.
